On the importance of art:

Everyone is an artist.

Everyone has made something from their creative mind.

So, art should be revered yes?

It should be seen as the pinnacle of the human condition, no?

The ability to use intuition and think of solutions outside the most obvious and objective...

To find meaning in anything, purpose in nothing...

Is that not truly great?

So why is it that it falls by the wayside in terms of economic and academic achievement?

Why aren't you asked to draw a pretty picture at the office?

Should you be asked to draw a pretty for work?

I'd argue no, art is not a commodity.

However, the point I make is that things such as conformity and materialism have unfortunately usurped art in its reverence.

People don't want to be rock stars to express themselves, they want Fortune and Fame.

I actually to no real issue with fame, recognition is a basic human need, fortune, however, is damning.

I implore you, reader, to be creative.

Write something.

Draw something.

Play something.

Hell, do nothing.

Just do anything in a way that only you do.

That is what living is about.
