Keeping In Touch
Have you kept up with your hobbies during school?
I try to.
Here is an example:
You may ask me "Kory, why have painted these fine soldiers in order of how much you like them?" To that, I answer "Shhhh! don't let them hear you!"
In all seriousness, this is a process I go through with these specific models. The armor they wear has more trim than your elderly relative's table cloths. It is, no joke, easier to paint the whole thing in the metallic trim's color, then block in the solid colors inside.
Reflecting on other things I work on, such as, I don't know... school, I am reminded of times I've struggled.
I can't think of how many times I have stared at my laptop incapable of progressing in my writing or what have you. All of these times have passed as all I usually need is a different angle.
Sure I can't write body paragraph number 2 but boy howdy can I write out a conclusion! It is much like the trim problem here.
I did not come up with this method initially. I did, for a time, paint these models in the color I wanted the majority of the armor to be, then painstakingly tried to paint the trim. Without fail, I would get some of the metallic on the already nicely pained matte colors. I would have to go back, block it in, making sure to change water as to not get the metallic flacks in the other colors.
It was not the end of the world, but annoying nonetheless. So I ask, has there ever been a time in your life a different approach made all the difference?

NICE WORK!! I have family members who are really into models. I can see the appeal, but I have so little patience. Great job!
